Madrasah Programs

Masjid Abu Bakr offers 2 sets of classes Monday to Friday for both male and female students taught by professional teachers:

1st Class – 17:00 – 18:15

2nd Class – 18:45 – 19:00

We ensure that our classes are beneficial to our students by providing them with high-quality teaching and having a focus on general Islamic studies. For this to continue we expect both parents and students to follow a set of rules and behaviours.

For Parents:

  • Make sure your child arrives on time at Masjid Abu Bakr.
  • If your child is absent, then a hand-written absent note must be given to the teacher the next day or you should call the teacher to explain the absence.
  • Students must wear madrassah uniform which is Shalwar Kameez or Jubba.
  • Make the teachers aware of any issues at home which can affect your child’s work or behaviour.
  • Attend the Masjid to discuss student progress on a regular basis with teachers.
  • Provide support to the student regarding any homework or learning activities to strengthen their knowledge of Islam & encourage good mannerisms.
  • Make sure Madrassah Fees are paid monthly on time via our online payment method.

For Students:

  • NEVER play around in the masjid and madrassah.
  • NEVER shout inside or outside the classroom; raise your hand if you need the teacher’s attention.
  • NEVER bring sweets, drinks on any food into the classroom.
  • NEVER fight, strike, or spit at anyone for any reason.
  • NEVER damage other people’s property including Qurans, books, benches, doors, walls, windows, etc.
  • ALWAYS walk quietly and sensibly around the madrassah and masjid premises.
  • NEVER use abusive language or behave rudely towards teachers, other students and namazees.
  • NEVER call anyone names or bully anyone in the Madrasah.
  • ALWAYS learn your lessons beforehand and come to the Madrasah on time with Wudhu and all essential items (i.e. books).

If we feel as if your student is not following the above rules, we will issue warnings to your student. If these warnings are being disregarded then we will not be afraid to dismiss badly behaved students from the madrasah. Of course, we hope that we will never come across having to deal with this issue.
